About these spider coloring pages
A spider is a body, eight legs and a web, and the web is the reason these pages are so satisfying: a radial web is a ready made pattern with dozens of small segments waiting to be filled. The easy set starts plain — one round spider, one simple web, a spider on a thread — with thick outlines and big shapes.
The set then grows legs. Garden spiders in dewy webs, a tarantula with fine hair texture, a jumping spider portrait with all eight eyes, webs strung between branches and a whole page of web patterns. Detailed and realistic pages carry the fine work. Every page prints free on US Letter or A4 as a PDF or a PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- Colour the web last and keep it very pale, or leave it white. A dark web swallows the spider sitting on it.
- Give the body two tones — one for the round abdomen and one for the head section — and the anatomy reads correctly.
- On the eight legged pages, colour the legs in bands rather than one flat shade. Real spider legs are banded.
- The dew drop pages look best if every drop stays white with a single dark edge.
