About these ladybug coloring pages
Ladybugs are one of the friendliest bugs to color: a round domed back, a neat row of spots and six little legs make every page inviting. These original designs range from a big smiling ladybug for preschoolers to lifelike beetles on leaves and ornate mandala-shell ladybugs that adults can settle into.
The Easy set keeps single friendly ladybugs with thick outlines and large simple shapes, while the detailed scenes add flower gardens, dewy leaves and mirrored patterns. All free to print on US Letter or A4 as PDF or PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- The classic look is a red domed back with black spots and head, but pink, orange or yellow ladybugs are just as charming on the cartoon pages.
- Keep the spots evenly dark and the same size, then leave a small white highlight on the top of the dome to make the shell look glossy.
- Color the head and the little legs the same dark shade so the bright shell stands out against them.
- On leaf and flower scenes, use several different greens so the ladybug's round body pops against the foliage.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these ladybug coloring pages free to print?
- Yes — every page is free for personal and classroom use. Print sized for US Letter or A4, or download the PDF or PNG for as many copies as you need.
- Do you have realistic ladybug pages as well as cute ones?
- Both — the Easy and cozy pages are round and smiling, while the realistic set shows a beetle's domed spotted shell, folded wings and tiny legs in fine detail.
- Which pages suit toddlers and preschoolers?
- The Easy set — the smiling ladybug, the baby ladybug and the sleepy ladybug use extra-thick outlines and big simple shapes for little hands.
