About these bee coloring pages
Bees are cheerful, round and endlessly friendly to color, from their fuzzy striped bodies to their little veined wings. These original designs range from a big smiling bee for preschoolers to lifelike honeybees on flowers and ornate honeycomb mandalas that adults can settle into.
The Easy set keeps single friendly bees with thick outlines and large simple shapes, while the detailed scenes add flower gardens, busy hives and mirrored patterns. All free to print on US Letter or A4 as PDF or PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- The classic bee palette is warm yellow and black stripes, but pastel or rainbow stripes look just as sweet on the cartoon pages.
- Leave the wings almost white with only the faintest tint — a hint of pale gray or blue keeps them looking thin and see-through.
- Add soft pencil texture to the striped body to suggest fuzz, keeping your strokes short and following the curve of each stripe.
- On flower scenes, warm up the blooms with reds, purples and oranges so your yellow bee stands out against them.
Frequently asked questions
- Are these bee coloring pages free to print?
- Yes — every page is free for personal and classroom use. Print sized for US Letter or A4, or download the PDF or PNG for as many copies as you need.
- Do you have realistic bee pages as well as cute ones?
- Both — the Easy and cozy pages are round and smiling, while the realistic set shows a honeybee's fuzzy body, veined wings and pollen-dusted legs in fine detail.
- Which pages suit toddlers and preschoolers?
- The Easy set — the smiling bee, the baby bee and the sleepy bee use extra-thick outlines and big simple shapes for little hands.
