About these house coloring pages
A house is the first thing most children learn to draw: a square, a triangle on top, a door and two windows. These pages start exactly there, with thick outlines and huge open walls that a preschooler can fill in without ever losing the line.
From there the set grows. Cottages with flower boxes, a treehouse up a ladder, a lighthouse, a barn, a row of city terraces and a whole street of shops. Detailed pages open the roof on a dollhouse cutaway and work fine texture into brick, shingle, timber and thatch. Every page prints free on US Letter or A4 as a PDF or a PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- Colour the roof first and the walls second. A dark roof over pale walls makes any house read instantly.
- Leave the windows almost white, or add a single pale tone, so the glass never competes with the walls.
- On the brick and shingle pages, colour a few units slightly differently — real walls are never one flat shade.
- Give the door a stronger shade than anything else on the page. The eye goes there first, which is exactly right.
