About these tree coloring pages
Trees give you the best of both worlds — a bold, simple silhouette for little kids and endless leafy detail for grown-ups. This collection spans single round trees and friendly apple trees through to sprawling forests, ancient oaks and cozy treehouses tucked in the branches.
The Easy set keeps trunks thick and canopies simple, while the detailed scenes pack in whole woodlands, twisting roots and blossom-laden branches for relaxed adult coloring. All free to print on US Letter or A4 as PDF or PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- Vary your greens — a canopy colored in a single flat green goes muddy, so mix a light lime near the top with a deeper green in the shadows.
- Bark rarely looks right as plain brown; layer a grey-brown base with darker lines in the grooves to give the trunk texture.
- For autumn trees, let each leaf wander between orange, red and gold instead of matching them all.
- Leave a few gaps of white in the canopy so the leaves read as separate rather than one solid mass.
