About these rose coloring pages

The rose is a gift to colorists: one bloom seen head-on is a ready-made spiral of petals, and there is no wrong palette. These original designs range from a big simple rose for preschoolers to full climbing arches, ornate rose mandalas and heart shapes built entirely from layered blooms.

The Easy set keeps petals large and outlines thick, while the detailed pages pack in curling petal on petal, veined leaves, thorns and lace. All free to print on US Letter or A4 as PDF or PNG.

Coloring tips and activities

  • Work each rose from the center out: keep the innermost curled petals darkest and let the outer petals grow paler, and the bloom will look round and open.
  • Roses are famously forgiving on palette — classic reds and pinks, sunny yellows, or a single-color study all look right, so experiment freely.
  • Leave a thin sliver of white paper along the top curl of each petal for a soft highlight that keeps the layers from blending into one flat shape.
  • Give the leaves their own greens rather than one flat tone — a lighter vein and darker edges make them read as leaves instead of filler.

Do you have detailed rose pages for adults?
Yes — the rose mandala, the full bouquet and the climbing rose arch layer curling petals, veined leaves and fine lace for patient, careful coloring.
