About these kitten coloring pages

A kitten is a small round body, two triangle ears, a long tail and a pair of very large eyes. Those simple shapes are perfect for a first coloring page. The easiest pages here give you one big kitten sitting on the sheet with thick bold outlines and plenty of open space to fill.

Then the kittens get busy: playing with a ball of yarn, sitting in a basket, peeking out of a cardboard box, chasing a feather, napping in a sunbeam and stacking up in a pile of siblings. A few lifelike kittens show every strand of fur for older colorers. Every page prints free on US Letter or A4 as a PDF or PNG.

Coloring tips and activities

  • Use short light strokes in the direction the fur grows, rather than filling the body flat.
  • Leave a small white dot uncolored in each eye so the kitten looks bright and alive.
  • Give the inner ears and the little nose a softer, lighter tone than the rest of the face.
  • The whiskers are thin lines - color around them and leave them clear so they stay visible.

Frequently asked questions

Are these kitten coloring pages free to print?
Yes - every page is free for personal and classroom use. Print at US Letter or A4 size, or download the PDF or PNG.
Which kitten pages suit toddlers?
Start with the toddler set - one large kitten, thick outlines and very few details, like the sitting kitten and the sleeping kitten.
What is the difference between these and the cat pages?
These focus on young kittens: rounder heads, bigger eyes, shorter legs and playful poses. The cat pages cover grown cats and breeds.
