About these fox coloring pages

Few animals are as fun to color as the fox: that pointed face, those big alert ears and a tail almost as big as the body. This set runs from round-cheeked cartoon kits to carefully observed wild foxes, so there's a page whether you want five relaxed minutes or a slow, detailed afternoon.

The Easy pages are chubby kawaii foxes with thick simple outlines — a sitting fox, a curled sleeper, two fox friends, a kit in autumn leaves. The Detailed pages spell out real fox anatomy: the red fox's alert stance, the arctic fox's dense fluffy coat, the fennec's oversized ears. All free to print on US Letter or A4 as PDF or PNG.

Coloring tips and activities

  • Follow the fur direction: short strokes flowing back along the body and outward on the tail keep that bushy tail looking soft rather than flat.
  • Foxes love autumn palettes — layer rust, amber and warm brown on the body and leave the chest and tail tip pale for a natural fox look.
  • For the arctic fox, keep most of the coat white and add only faint gray shadows in the fur folds, then leave crisp highlights on the back and tail so the fluff reads as snow-bright.
  • Markers give cartoon kits a bold, punchy finish, while colored pencils layer the fine fur and whiskers on the realistic foxes far more convincingly.
