About these deer coloring pages
Deer are a joy to color: those long ears, gentle faces and, on the stags, sweeping branching antlers. This set runs from round-cheeked spotted fawns to carefully observed wild deer, so there's a page whether you want five relaxed minutes or a slow, detailed afternoon.
The Easy pages are chubby kawaii fawns with thick simple outlines — a sitting fawn, a curled sleeper, two fawn friends, a fawn in autumn leaves. The Detailed pages spell out real deer anatomy: an alert buck's antlers, a doe in profile, a spotted fawn resting in the grass. All free to print on US Letter or A4 as PDF or PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- Fawns wear rows of pale spots — leave the spots white or a soft cream and color the coat around them a warm tan for a natural speckled look.
- Follow the fur direction with short strokes flowing back along the body, and keep the belly, chest and tail underside pale so the deer reads as rounded.
- Antlers look best in warm browns fading to lighter tips; leave a thin highlight along the front edge of each tine so they catch the light.
- Markers give the cartoon fawns a bold, punchy finish, while colored pencils layer the fine fur, autumn leaves and forest scenes on the realistic pages far more softly.
