About these baby coloring pages

Baby pages are some of the kindest line art there is: round shapes, soft edges and nothing sharp anywhere. The easiest pages give a young colorer one thing at a time — a rattle, a bottle, a single bootee, a teddy bear — with very thick outlines and lots of white space to work in.

The rest of the set covers the whole first year. A baby asleep in a cot, a first crawl across the rug, a pram out for a walk, a highchair at mealtime and a nursery with mobiles and shelves of soft toys. Detailed keepsake pages and baby shower designs round it out. Every page prints free on US Letter or A4 as a PDF or a PNG.

Coloring tips and activities

  • Keep the palette soft on these pages. Two or three pale tones suit baby art far better than strong ones.
  • Leave the blankets and bedding almost white and colour only the pattern on them — the fabric then looks light.
  • Colour a keepsake page in one tone with a second for the details, then it frames beautifully as a gift.
  • On the nursery scenes, pick one bright accent and repeat it three times across the page to tie it together.
