About these apple coloring pages
An apple is one round shape, a short stem and a single leaf. That makes it one of the very first things a child learns to draw, and one of the easiest coloring pages to finish with pride. The simplest sheets here give you one large apple with a thick outline and nothing else on the page.
The rest of the set grows outward from that shape: baskets and crates at harvest, orchard rows with ladders, apple picking, a halved apple showing its star of seeds, apple pies and caramel apples, and careful botanical studies of blossom, leaf and fruit. Every page prints free on US Letter or A4 as a PDF or PNG.
Coloring tips and activities
- Leave a small uncolored highlight on one side of the apple so it looks round and shiny.
- Shade the underside of each apple more heavily than the top to give it weight.
- Use short strokes that curve around the fruit, rather than straight strokes across it.
- On the cross section pages, keep the seeds much darker than the flesh around them.
